Contraception after you’ve given birth is very important. It’s true that you probably won’t have sex for a few weeks – you may be sore and you’ll definitely be tired – but many women find they are extremely fertile and once is enough to start the whole process off again!

It’s important to get their advice on the most effective and safe method for you. For example, you will not be able to take some contraceptive pills if you are breastfeeding.
